The sad sad tale of the traveling sketchbook

My friend Lydia(Home Page: http://lydiaburris.com) and I decided to set up a traveling sketchbook way back in 2003.   After hanging out and strongly considering the rules and regulations of this book we finally set it free to wander.     It traveled about Columbus and Bloomington Indiana with no worries.   It traveled safely with me to Massachusetts,  it even traveled about the Burlesque scene in New York for a while, being added it too.     Then sadly it met my brothers best friends now ex wife.     My brothers best friend and his then wife had been trying to have kids which required her to go temporarily off her medication.    This was the death knell of my poor traveling sketch book her off medication resulted in the falling apart of the marriage and she wandered off into the world with my Sketchbook.  

That is the sad sad tale of my traveling sketchbook.   

Perhaps one day I will try it again some time.  but sniff I will always miss that first attempt at global communal art.
